THE SILENCE OF TRUTH
(November 4, 2016)
For many centuries both philosophers and religions have tried to answer one of the most important questions of the human being: What is truth?
However, they have never been able to reach any conclusions, but let us first look at the etymology of the word "philosophy".
This word comes from two words: -philos- "love"; And -sophia- "wisdom or knowledge."
In other words, the word philosophy means "love of wisdom or knowledge."
Two thousand years ago a politician under the rule of the Roman Empire asked this same question to a prisoner who was bloodied in front of him (John 18: 37-38).
This politician was Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of the province of Judea and the prisoner was the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pilate then asked the Lord Jesus, "What is the truth?" Then he addressed the crowd and said, "I find no crime in him."
So what was the answer to this question?
Jesus did not answer at all, for really ... there was no answer that could have satisfied him!
However, there was an answer, because ... in the absence of the answer was the answer that came .... In the silence of truth. Hard to understand? Let's see the explanation to this philosophical riddle.
It was when Jesus did not answer that he said everything, because ... not answering the question was giving his answer!
The truth is deeper than the words, for the truth is not about something, not even the truth about Him, but He Himself was the truth!
The Person of Jesus was the same truth before the eyes of Pilate (John 14: 6).
The coming of truth, speaking of the truth and the study of truth ... is not the truth.
Philosophers and different religions can speak, argue and study about the truth, but what is about truth can blind their eyes so as not to see truth in itself (Job 28: 12-13, 20-21; Corinthians 2: 6-8, 11-16).
The truth is what God is, the truth is Jesus himself, so the only way to know or discover the truth .... It is to know Him! (Job 12: 13, Matthew 11:27, Colossians 2: 3).
One must know Jesus directly and personally with all his heart.
What is the truth? Jesus is the truth and what is the answer to all philosophies or the love of wisdom?

It is to know Jesus, because by knowing Him you are loving the truth.
