Loving others.

Luke 6:32 For if you love those who love you, what thank have ye? Even sinners love those who love them.
For many people, love others is a fuzzy concept. Fortunately, agape love is clearly defined in Scripture. When love is used as a noun in the Scriptures it refers to the character, for example. "God is love" (1 John 4: 8) "Love is patient, love is kind, etc ... (1 Cor 13: 4-8) Love is the highest conquest of nature: the goal of our instruction is love with a sincere heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith (1 Timothy 1: 5) Love is the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22), the means by which a true disciple of Christ identifies (Juan 13:35) The attention given to love in passages like 1 Corinthians 13 and 1 John 4 reveals his importance to God in our relationships, where the family is paramount.
Agape love is not dependent on the person that you love, but of a friend. Perhaps you someone who pleases him, but you love him because of who you are. God loves us not because we are lovable, but because God is love. If it were otherwise, then the love of God would be conditioned. If you behave better, I would love more God? Of course not. The love of God for us is not based on our performance, but in His character.
Love is also used as a verb in the Scriptures. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16) Used in this way, love is grace in action. It is giving unconditionally to meet the needs of another.
If you say you do not love someone, you say more about you than the other person. Specifically, you're saying that you have not reached the maturity to love unconditionally (Luke 6:32) The grace of God allows you to love others in a way that people without Christ can not. God sends you that you like your family, your neighbors or colleagues because you can not order your emotions respond that way. But asks you love them. You can always choose to share love and trust your feelings will follow you over time.

Luc 6:32 porque si amáis a los que os aman ¿qué mérito tenéis? Porque también los pecadores aman a los que los aman.

Para mucha gente, amar a otros es un concepto borroso. Afortunadamente, el amor ágape se ha definido claramente en las Escrituras. Cuando el amor es usado como un sustantivo en las Escrituras, se refiere al carácter, por ejemplo. "Dios es amor" (1 Juan 4:8) "el amor es paciente, el amor es benigno, etc... (1 Cor 13:4-8) El amor es la más alta conquista del carácter: la meta de nuestra instrucción es amar con un corazón sincero y buena conciencia y una fe no fingida (1 Tim 1:5) El amor es el fruto del Espíritu (Gál 5:22), el medio por el cual se identifica un verdadero discípulo de Cristo (Juan 13:35) La atención dada al amor en pasajes como 1 Cor 13 y 1 Juan 4 revela su importancia para Dios en nuestras relaciones interpersonales, donde la familia es primordial.

El amor ágape no es dependiente de la persona a la que se ama, sino del que ama. Quizá te agrade alguien por quién es él, pero le amas debido a quién eres tú. Dios nos ama no porque seamos dignos de ser amados, sino porque Dios es amor. Si fuera de otra manera, entonces el amor de Dios sería condicionado. Si te comportas mejor, ¿te amaría más Dios? Claro que no. El amor de Dios hacia nosotros no está basado en nuestro comportamiento, sino en Su carácter.

El amor también es usado como verbo en las Escrituras. Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo que ha dado a su hijo unigénito (Juan 3:16) Utilizado de esta manera, el amor es gracia en acción. Es dar incondicionalmente para suplir las necesidades de otro.

Si dices que no amas a alguien, has dicho más sobre ti que de la otra persona. Específicamente, estás diciendo que no has alcanzado la madurez de amar incondicionalmente (Luc 6:32) La gracia de Dios te permite amar a otros de una manera que la gente sin Cristo no puede. Dios no te manda que te agrade tu familia, tus vecinos o compañeros de trabajo porque no puedes ordenarle a tus emociones que respondan de esa manera. Pero sí te pide amarlos. Siempre puedes elegir hacer la parte de amar y confía en que tus sentimientos te seguirán con el tiempo.
