IRAQ, SYRIA AND THE ANTICHRIST (15 January 2015)

IRAQ, SYRIA AND THE ANTICHRIST
(15 January 2015)

After the nation of Israel, the nation most frequently mentioned in the Bible is Iraq, which in the Bible appears with the name of Babylon, Chaldea or land of Shinar (Genesis 10: 8-11; Jeremiah 50 : 1).
These two nations won their independence in the twentieth century, in the early 40s.
Since the Gulf War, Iraq began appearing in most of the headlines of major newspapers around the world and in the mass media.

It's amazing that this nation has remained almost unknown for many centuries, but in the Bible appears as one of the main protagonists nations in recent times.
So, Iraq, Syria together, are two of the nations most often mentioned in the biblical prophecies of the end times before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The city of Jerusalem will soon become an apple of discord or a heavy stone for many nations and geographical center of the biggest international conflict war of all time: the Third World War and the Battle of Armageddon (Zechariah 12: 2-3; 14: 9; Revelation 16: 12-16).

The nation of Jordan (Moab and Edom in the Bible), will escape being conquered by the Antichrist (Daniel 11:41), which speaks to join his political confederation; Iran (formerly Persia) and Turkey would join Russia and other Muslim nations to attack Israel (Ezekiel 38: 4-5).
And so we could continue mentioning other nations that will be more important part in recent times, according to the Hebrew prophets over 2,500 years ago.

The land currently occupied by the nation of Syria (ancient Assyria) and Iraq (ancient Babylon) were part of the old Neo-Babylonian Empire.
Here are some prophecies that mention the Antichrist as coming precisely of this area of the world and relating it to the geographical area of Syria (Assyria old) and Iraq (ancient Persia):

BUT AFTER pass, which the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and in Jerusalem (which so far has not happened!), I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria and the pride of his eyes (Isaiah 10:12).

We note carefully that the destruction of the Assyrian when God will finish his work in Jerusalem, and when will it?After the Battle of Armageddon!
When Assyria took captive the ten northern tribes of Israel (722 BC), did not happen or none of this prophecy was fulfilled, because the Lord did not end finished his work with Jerusalem.

And I will break the Assyrian in my land and upon my mountains tread him under foot (Isaiah 14:25).

No ancient king of Assyria was defeated in the land of Israel, so this prophecy will also have to be met in the near future time.

And this shall be peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land and when he shall tread in our palaces ........ and waste the land of Assyria with the sword and with their swords the land of Nimrod and deliver us ¨ WHEN Assyrian comes into our land and treadeth within our borders (Micah 5: 5-6).

This is clearly mentioned a while there will be future peace in the land of Israel AFTER the Assyrian be broken.
This peace not been since Israel was established in a free, sovereign and independent nation on May 14, 1948.
How amazing that this geographical area where it is now an Islamic terrorist group, called ISIS (or Islamic State) is the point of greatest global threat today!
And, what a coincidence that the main objective of these terrorists is to create a new Islamic state uniting all nations of the Middle East!
This speaks, without doubt, the Antichrist will emerge from this geographical area between Syria and Iraq, which will unleash a tremendous war in the Middle East and then propose a peace treaty for seven years to the nation of Israel (Daniel 9 : 24-27).

This is also confirmed by the prophecies of Daniel, because after the fall of the Greek empire of Alexander the Great, his empire was divided into four parts (Syria, Egypt, Turkey and Macedonia), the which were controlled by his four generals long thereafter.
The prophet Daniel prophesied that the little horn (the Antichrist) would come from one of four divisions of the Greek Empire (Daniel 7: 8 to 12.21).

At what times as exciting and dangerous at the same time we are!
Before our eyes are being met most biblical prophecies of the end times!
What is our responsibility? Winning souls, watch and keep praying to be taken as worthy to escape all these terrible things that are coming upon planet earth and of which we are promised will be freed (Luke 21: 34-36).
