THE RISE OF THE ANTICHRIST
(28 January 2015)
No doubt much speculation have emerged in recent years about the true identity of the Antichrist, for example, that the Bible refers to a computer, a group of people, different characters (the Pope, King Philip of Spain, President Obama, etc.).However, all these explanations are unfounded, merely human and lacking any biblical truth opinions.
According to Bible prophecy the ultimate form of world government will be led by an evil and sinister entity called the Beast or Antichrist:
¨ ........ and they worshiped the dragon (the devil) who gave authority to the beast (Antichrist) saying, Who is like the beast and who can fight against it ¨ (Revelation 13: 4).
Here, then, we must remember that the Antichrist will be a human character but completely controlled and energized by satanic powers, to the extent that emit a seductive supernatural force attracting the worship and recognition on his person in the world.
This is similar to many rulers and political and religious leaders in history have said about large crowds (the Roman Caesars, Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Charles Manson, Jim Jones, David Koresh, etc.) power.
The apostle John is the only New Testament writer who calls him by the name of Antichrist and which mentions that although there has always been the spirit of Antichrist since he began the Christian era, a human being will appear in a future time flesh that will manifest as the last world dictator in history (I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour. 4: 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard is coming and even now is already in the world; 2 John 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist).
The word Antichrist is formed from two words: -Anti-, which means against or place; and 'Christ-anointed.
In other words, the word antichrist means any person who is against or who takes the place of Christ.
The Bible describes the personality and most of the activities of this future evil character in the books of Daniel, I and II Thessalonians and Revelation.
The Antichrist will not arise in the United States of North America, or England, or Spain, or Russia, but the Middle East:
The apostle John sees him emerge from the Mediterranean Sea:
I stood on the area of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea that had sete heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy (Revelation 13: 1).
According to the Bible, will arise specifically from one of the four divisions that had the Greek Empire under Alexander the Great.
In one of his visions, the prophet Daniel saw two world empires fighting for power: Iran, represented by a ram and Greece, represented by a goat (Daniel 8: 1-5).
Daniel wrote this before these two empires fight over power and clearly describes the victory of the Greek Empire on the Medo-Persian Empire.
However, Daniel also sees that the death of Alexander the Great, his empire would be divided into four nations or geographic areas (Daniel 8: 8-9 - Assyria, Egypt, Turkey, Macedonia, Greece) by his four generals.
One of the divisions seen leaving a little horn, which represents around this book to the person of the Antichrist.
Which of these four geographic areas arise the Antichrist? In the region known in the Bible as Assyria and Iraq!
It is incredible that in the XXI century now this is the area which is developing the largest international war!
There is much speculation about whether the Antichrist will emerge from Israel (to be Jewish) or Gentile (of any nation in the Middle East).
I firmly believe that the Antichrist will emerge from what is now the region of Syria-Iraq, why? Because the Bible calls the Antichrist several times, the Assyrian! (Daniel 8: 7-8; Isaiah 10:12; 14:25; 30: 31-33; Micah 5: 5-6).
There is no doubt that we are in times where the Spirit of God is illuminating us about biblical revelations of recent times, so should be aware of the safest prophetic Word, which is the Word of God to discern the times we live in and we do not take the Lord's coming unnoticed.
