WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?
(9 December 2014)
Really the whole Bible is the gospel, because reading of Genesis to Revelation can discover the amazing revelation from God to mankind.
However, reading the Bible many people have a different message, as some mention only the gospel in terms of financial prosperity, others describe a kind of political utopia in the name of Christ and today many emphasize that the church established the kingdom of Christ on earth before his second coming.

Thank God we have passages in the Bible that describe clearly what is the gospel:
"Besides brothers declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also received, in which also persevere ... because I first taught them what I also received:
That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and was raised on the third day according to the scriptures "(I Corinthians 15: 1-4).

What then is the gospel?
First that "Christ died for our sins."
The Bible teaches us that God created Adam without sin to rule creation (Genesis 1: 26-28), however, Adam rebelled against God and plunged the whole human race guilt, misery and eternal ruin.
But God, in His great love with which he loved us sent his Son Jesus Christ so that He paid for our sins (John 3:16).
Jesus then died as our substitute expiating (paying) on the cross for our sins in His body receiving the wrath of God that we deserved (Romans 3: 24-25).

Having Jesus cried out in a cross, "It is finished", it means absolutely let any of our sins (past, present and future) without paying for them (Hebrews 10: 10-13).
Therefore we can now say: "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain!" (Revelation 5:12).

Second, the gospel says that Christ "was buried", emphasizing the fact that his suffering and death were real, extreme, humiliating and end (Matthew 27:66).
And third and finally, the gospel says "rose again the third day."
The resurrection of Christ is God's Amen and the consummation of the sacrifice of Jesus, for he was "raised for our justification" (Romans 4:25).
By his resurrection "was declared the Son of God with power," in other words, our triumphant Messiah will reign forever (Romans 4:25).

And now, because of his victory over death, sin and Satan, Jesus says prophetically:
"Fear not, I am the First and the Last, who was dead and alive, but behold I am alive for evermore, Amen. And I have the keys of death and hell .... here come quickly and my reward is with me to give every man according as his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last ..... certainly come quickly "
(Revelation 1: 17-18; 22: 12-13, 20).
